Video Game Tactics and Strategy
Are you a warrior, a wizard, or a thief? An elf, a dwarf, or an orc? Are you a cowboy or an indian? A point guard or a power forward? A running back, or a wide receiver, or a linebacker? Are you a nomad or from in the city? Video games are always trying to ask you the same questions and get you to make a choice – how do you want to play?
How do YOU want to play? When you pick up the video game controller and jump into the game there are tactics and strategies that you can deploy. Gamers that play with a sense of identity, an understanding of HOW they want to play, can dramatically improve their chance of winning. One of the most important steps in becoming a good gamer is understanding your identity and how you want to play the game so that you can tailor tactics and strategies towards it.
A key component of being a strong gamer is concentration. Ultimately a video game will pressure you into making so many choices in such a short period of time that your brain can overload. All video gamers have fallen victim to the button mashing. Work on not pressing buttons unless you know what you want to do. The best gamers can concentrate on the task at hand while still being mindful of tactics and strategy.
